Details
Many hockey skills and techniques can be practiced off-ice, such as passing, stick-handling, and shooting.
Developing these skills and techniques off-ice allows players to focus on the skill itself, without having to worry as much about staying on their skates. This results in quicker skill development. And, these skills can be highly transferable to being on the ice, so long as players, and coaches, keep that in mind when practicing these skills.
Off-ice sessions can be private, for small groups, or for team practices.
Best For
Off-ice sessions are best utilized for developing passing skills, stick-handling skills, shooting mechanics, and player strength & conditioning. Individual offensive and defensive tactics, and decision making can also be developed.
